Medical Emergencies
Steps to take in medical emergencies:
- Do
not move the patient unless his or her life is in danger.
- Have
someone stay with the patient until help arrives.
- If
on campus, call security. If off campus dial 911. Tell them your name, your
exact location, and a brief description of the problem. Do not hang up until
told to do so.
- Meet
emergency personnel to guide them to the patient.
Medical illness and minor injuries:
The
college employs a full time nurse for minor illnesses or injuries. Contact your
resident advisor or security for help.
